Battles Bio
Battles is a band from New York, United States. The band was formed in 2002 and its members include guitarist/keyboardist Ian Williams and drummer/percussionist John Stanier. They released their first two EPS “EPC and “B EP”, which were combined into an album, titled “EP C/B EP” and released in 2006. Their debut studio album “Mirrored” arrived in May 2007. The album received positive reviews from fans and other artists. Their second studio album “Gloss Drop” arrived in June 2011. The album featured artists like Yamantaka Eye and Gary Numan.
In September 2015, they released their third studio album “La Di Da Di”. They later released a live session featuring four new songs under the Warp Records label. In May 2019, it was announced that Konopka had left the band. In July of the same month, the band played at the Dour Festival in Belgium as a duo. Their fourth studio album was issued in October 2019.
