Tyshane Thompson, known as Beam is a rapper, producer and songwriter born in 1995 in Kingston, Jamaica. His father is dancehall and reggae legend Papa San. He started performing when he was 10 years old and has performed under many stage names including Tyshane and Elite. His last stage name Beam stands for “Be Everything and More.” He was part of the duo 808&Elite with Matt Massaro known for the single Me Monster.
The Miami-raised gained popularity producing work for artists like 21 Savage and 2 Chainz. He has a Grammy for his work on Lecrae's album Gravity which won Best Gospel Album at the 2013 GRAMMY Awards. Beam is one of the many artists featured on Justin Bieber’s new album, Justice. He released his debut EP, 95 on October 18, 2019.
