BeBe Zahara Benet Bio

BeBe Zahara Benet, born Nea Marshall Kudi Ngwa on March 20, 1981 in Cameroon, is a drag queen best known for winning the first season of reality TV drag competition RuPaul's Drag Race. BeBe started a career in the French fashion industry as a male model before moving to the States. BeBe Zahara Benet was born during a fashion show in Paris when one of the female models failed to appear and Nea was asked to dress as a woman and appear on the runway.

After winning RuPaul's Drag Race in 2009, BeBe appeared on the show in 2011 and returned in RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars in 2018. Tyra Sanchez won the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race and Raja Gemini was the winner of the third season. The Cameroonian-American performer released the first single I'm the Sh*t in 2009, followed by Cameroon and Dirty Drums in 2012.
