Bebel Gilberto Bio
Bebel Gilberto was born as Isabel Gilberto de Oliveira on May 12, 1966, in New York City. In 1983, she released the album Um Certo Geraldo Pereira, Funarte with Pedrinho Rodrigues. De Tarde, Vendo O Mar (1991), her next album was another collaboration, this time with Luizão Maia & Banzai. In 2000, Bebel Gilberto released Tanto Tempo under the independent label Ziriguiboom. A remix album was released in 2001. Her self-titled album dropped in 2004 and a remix album followed in the following year. She dropped another album, 2007’s Momento, under the sale label before switching to Verve Records for the release of All In One in 2009. Her 2014 album, Tudo, was released by Sony in 2014. Aside from releasing music, she is also the voice behind the bird Eva in the animated film Rio.
