Rebecca Meyers, better known as Becca Meyers, is a distinguished American professional Paralympic swimmer renowned for her prowess in freestyle, butterfly, and medley races. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, United States, on November 20, 1994.
She embarked on her international journey in 2009, debuting at the Deaflympics in Taipei. Since then, Meyers has etched her name in the annals of swimming history with a string of remarkable performances. Her breakthrough came at the 2012 London Paralympic Games, where she clinched bronze and silver medals, setting the stage for her meteoric rise. Meyers attained international acclaim in 2016 by securing three gold medals in the 400m freestyle S13, 100m butterfly S13, and 200m medley SM13 events at the Rio Paralympic Games, solidifying her status as a dominant force in Paralympic swimming.
Recognized for her extraordinary achievements, Meyers was honored as ESPN’s Best Female Athlete with a Disability in 2015 and 2017.
