Rebecca Lynn Hammon, better known as Becky Hammon, is an American-Russian retired professional basketball player and coach who played as a point guard in the WNBA. She was born in Rapid City, South Dakota, United States, on March 11, 1977.
Becky spent her formative years playing for Stevens High School and Colorado State University, and she turned professional in 1999 when she joined New York Liberty. She went on to represent the Rivas Ecópolis, San Antonio Stars, CSKA Moscow, Ros Casares Valencia, Nadezhda Orenburg, and Spartak Moscow Region. Her career highlights include being a 6-time WNBA All-Star, All-WNBA First Team, WNBA assists leader, and WNBA 25th Anniversary Team.
Since she began her coaching career in 2014, Becky has coached the San Antonio Spurs and a Las Vegas Aces team that featured Kelsey Plum, A'ja Wilson, Chelsea Gray, and Kiah Stokes.
