Ben Affleck Bio

Ben Affleck is an American actor and director. He was born on the 15th of August, 1972, in Berkeley, California, U.S. In 1982, Affleck appeared in a local independent movie tiled “Dark Side of the Street” and two years later, when he was thirteen, he got his first break as a child actor, starring in “The Voyage of the Mimi”, alongside Peter G. Marston, a scientist at the M.I.T. as well as the owner of the actual Mimi, a sailing boat. He started appearing in televisions movies such as “Daddy” in 1991, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and in Richard Linklater’s “Dazed and Confused”. He became a major Hollywood figure and he starred many movies like “Chasing Amy” in 1997, “Armageddon” in 1998, “Pearl Harbor” in 2001, among many others. In 1997, Affleck and his friend and fellow actor Matt Damon wrote “Good Will Hunting”, a movie directed by Gus Van Sant starring Matt Damon, Robin Williams and Ben Affleck. Damon and Affleck received the Golden Globe as well as an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. He directed, produced and starred in the movie “Argo” in 2012, and his work earned him the Golden Globe Award, BAFTA and many other awards.
