Ben Roethlisberger Bio
Ben Roethlisberger is an American professional football player born in Lima, Ohio on March 2, 1982. He currently plays as a quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League. He played football in high school at Findlay High School in Findlay, Ohio for the Trojans. He went on to play college football at Miami University from 2001 to 2003 and set a number of records while on the team. In 2004 he was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round, 11th overall, in the 2004 NFL Draft. He was signed to a six-year contract for $22.26 million. In 2008 he signed a eight year contract with the Steelers for $102 million. Roethlisberger has stated that he would like to retire with the Pittsburgh Steelers and has played with the team for 15 seasons. With the Steelers he became a two time Super Bowl Champion in Super Bowl XL and Super Bowl XLIII. He has played in 6 Pro Bowls and is a 2 time NFL passing yards leader. Throughout his career in the NFL he has made 7,168 passing attempts, 4,616 passing completions, and 56,194 passing yards. He has set and beat a number of NFL records, including most regular season wins in a season, rookie QB with 13, most consecutive 6+ touchdown pass games with 2, most career 500+ yard passing games with three, and many more.
