Beneil Dariush Bio
Beneil Dariush is a professional MMA fighter who competes in the Lightweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Born on 6th May 1989 in Urmia, Iran, Dariush started training in 2007 and earned a black belt five years later. He made his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 35 on 15th January 2014. He faced Ramsey Nijem at the UFC Fight Night 39 but lost via TKO in the first round. On 14th March 2015, he faced Daron Cruickshank at UFC 185 and won the fight.
He faced Michael Chiesa at UFC on Fox 19 on 16th April 2016 but lost the fight in the second round through submission. Beneil was expected to face Drakkar Klose at UFC 248 on 7th March 2020 but had to be rescheduled after the fight was canceled. On 6th February, he faced Carlos Diego Ferreira and won the bout through a split decision. He also defeated Tony Ferguson at UFC 262 on 15th May 2021.
