Benny Boom was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 22, 1971. He received nominations for Best Video Director from the BET Award in 2012, 2014, and 2015. He is the associate producer of the TV series Knockout and the mini-series Haitian Jacks. He worked on the TV movie Dice City in 2013.
He directed All Eyez on Me in 2017. His work on TV includes Tales (2017), Black Lighting (2018), The Quad (2018), and NCIS: Los Angeles episodes that aired between 2016 and 2018. Most of his work involves video shorts such as Boyz II Men: The Color of Love in 2002, Scarface: Origins of a Hip Hop Classic, and Ciara Feat. Missy Elliott: 1, 2 Step. He also worked on T-Pain Feat. Yung Joc: Buy U a Drank, Shawty Snappin’.
