Beth Hart, born on January 24th, 1972 in Los Angeles, California is an American singer and songwriter. She began her musical career at the age of 15 when she began performing in singing competitions in South Central L.A. to earn money. She appeared on the show Star Search in 1993 and won the female vocalist category for the season. She then recorded the independent album Beth Hart and the Ocean after winning and released it in the same year.
In 1996 she formed the Beth Hart Band and released her first official studio album called Immortal. The album was released on the Atlantic record label. Her next album, Screamin’ for My Supper brought about Beth’s career breakthrough. The song “LA Song (Out of This Town)” became a number 1 hit in New Zealand and a top 5 on the international Adult Contemporary charts.
In 2003 Beth released the album Leave the Light On. The single “Learning to Live” charted in at number 1 in Denmark. The album went on the be certified platinum. In 2005 she released a live album called Live at Paradiso. 2007 saw the release of her 4th studio album called 37. Beth went on to release 8 more albums up to 2018 and has collaborated with the likes of Slash, Jeff Beck, and was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2014.
