Between The Buried And Me Bio

Between The Buried And Me is an American metalcore band formed in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 2000. It originally consisted of vocalist Tommy Rogers, guitarist Paul Waggoner, guitarist Nick Fletcher, bassist Jason King, and drummer Mark Castillo. A well-received eponymous EP put the band on the track for a deal with Victory Records, which saw “The Silent Circus” drop in 2003. Their follow-up LP “Alaska” went out in 2005 and prompted a U.S. tour with bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan and Every Time I Die. The long-player “The Anatomy Of” was issued in 2006, followed by “Colors” (2007), and “The Great Misdirect” (2009). After moving to the label Metal Blade, the group released two concept albums titled “The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues” and “The Parallax II: Future Sequence”, spanning their own Future Sequence Tour. A rock-opera-oriented album titled “Coma Ecliptic” was released in 2015, produced by Jamie King, and the band moved to Sumerian Records. With producer King, the band worked on a double-length concept album titled “Automata”, released in two parts throughout 2018.
