Beverley Knight is a soul singer born on 22nd March 1973 in England. She is widely recognized for her song “Flavor of the Old School.” She was raised in a family that loved gospel music but started writing her own songs at the age of 13 after meeting Aretha Franklin and Sam Cooke. When she was 17 she started singing in nightclubs and advertising jingles for a local radio station. In 1994, she signed with the independent label Dome and released the album “The B-Funk.” In August 1998, she released her second album, titled “Prodigal Sista.”
Other solo albums released by the artist include “Who I Am” in 2002, “Affirmation” in 2004, “Music City Soul” in 2007, “100%” in 2009, “Soul UK” in 2011, “Soulsville” in 2016, and “BK25 (lie album)” in 2019.
