Biagio Antonacci Bio

Biagio Antonacci is a singer and songwriter born on 9th November 1963 in Milan, Italy. He learned how to play drums at a very young age. In 1998, he took part in the 38th Sanremo Music Festival, performing the song “Vogilo vivere in un attimo”. A year later, he signed with a record label and released his first studio album, “Sono cose che capitano”. The album was not very successful; however, the song “Fiore” became a bit popular. Despite releasing two albums, he found it difficult to find his foot in the music scene. He knew releasing a third unsuccessful album would not sit well with the record label.

Luckily, the single from his third studio album, “Liberatemi”, sold more than 150,000 copies. The album was platinum certified. In 1993, he performed the song “Non so più a chi credere” at the Sanremo Music Festival. He later went on tour in Italy to promote his music. In 1999, he dropped the single “It’s A Message For You” featuring Viktor Lazio. The single peaked at number 7 on the Belgian single charts and stayed there for a whole 17 weeks.
