Biff Byford Bio

Peter Rodney Byford is a heavy metal singer, better known by his artistic name "Biff Byford''. He was born on the 15th day of January 1951 in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England. In his early years, he learned to play the guitar but he initially played the bass on some of the first bands he participated in. It was in the late ‘70s that he changed to vocals when he was recruited to the band Saxon. During the early years of the '80s, the band Saxon reached the Top 40 albums and singles charts of the UK, but the band declined in popularity at the end of the decade. In 2017 Biff Byford released his autobiography "Never Surrender''. In 2020 he released his first solo album titled "School of Hard Knocks".
