Big Joanie Bio
Hailing from London, England, Big Joanie is an English afro-punk band that was formed as a response to the need for diversity in the punk-rock scene. The band is made up of Stephanie Phillips on guitar and vocals, Estella Adeyeri on guitar and vocals, and Chardine Taylor-Stone on drums and vocals. Big Joanie was formed in 2013, but they released their debut album Sistahs in 2018. Their discography includes the hit singles Cranes In The Sky, Fall Asleep, Used To Be Friends, New Year, and the EP Sistah Punk. They have performed at several international venues and toured with artists like Sleater-Kinney, Gossip, Downtown Boys, and Bikini Kill.
