Big Red Machine is an American band that was formed in 2008 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, United States. The members of the band include Aaron Dessner (The National) and Justin Vernon (Bon Iver).
The duo dropped their debut self-titled album Big Red Machine in 2008. The album reached the Top 20 Billboard’s Alternative, Americana/Folk and Independent Albums charts. Their sophomore effort How Long Do You Think It's Gonna Last? followed in 2021 featuring contributions from popular artists like Taylor Swift, Fleet Foxes, Ben Howard, and Sharon Van Ettan. Taylor Swift also featured in the album’s single Renegade which debuted in the Hot 100.
