Big Wreck is a Canadian-American musical group formed in 1994. The band consists of Ian Thornley (founded), Brian Doherty (guitarist), Dave Henning (bassist), and Forrest Williams (drummer). They are all former students of Berklee College of Music, and the band was formed while they were still there as students. After years of performing in Cambridge and Boston, they signed with a leading label and released their first album in 1997 titled "In Loving Memory of…."
Thanks to Thornley's Canadian nationality, the band received huge commercial success in Canada compared to the United States. Most of their songs were in Top Ten hits in Canada. The band released their second album, "The Please and the Greed," in 2001, which was not a big hit. Unfortunately, the musical group was disbanded in 2002. Doherty joined the indie band "Death of 8" and Thornley went back to Canada and formed his own band "Thornley." In 2011, Brian and Ian came back together and released an album "Albatross" in March 2012.
