Bill Hemmer (born November 14, 1964, in Cincinnati, Ohio) is an American journalist who has worked for ‘Fox News’ as a co-anchor for the show ‘America’s Newsroom.’
During his high-school years, Hemmer took an interest in broadcasting. He started a radio program with his friends and played music before his classes. He later enrolled at the ‘Miami University’ where he earned a BA degree in broadcast journalism.
While still in college, he worked as a radio disc jockey at two local radio stations, before he earned an internship at the ‘NBC’ affiliate located in Cincinnati. At 26, he embarked on a trip to Asia and recorded his experiences in the form of a tape called ‘Bill’s Excellent Adventure.’
He won two regional ‘Emmy Awards’ for his work, one for the ‘Best Host’ and the other for the ‘Best Entertainment Program.’ In the late 1980s, Hemmer earned a job at the ‘CNN’ headquarter in Georgia and spent 10 years working with the news outlet. He hosted a number of programs at ‘CNN,’ including, ‘American Morning,’ ‘CNN Tonight,’ and ‘CNN Live Today.’ In 2005, he joined ‘Fox News’ and has been co-hosting the news program ‘America’s Newsroom’ ever since its premier.
