Bill Kreutzmann Bio
William Kreutzmann Jr., known as Bill Kreutzmann, is an American drummer who is known as one of the founding members of the iconic rock band, Grateful Dead. He was born in Palo Alto, California, United States, on May 7, 1946.
Since the Grateful Dead disbanded in 1995, Kreutzmann has continued to perform and record with various lineups, including the bands BK3, 7 Walkers, and Billy & the Kids. He has collaborated with numerous musicians from across the spectrum of musical genres, and has remained a beloved and influential figure in the music industry.
Kreutzmann played with the Grateful Dead throughout their entire thirty-year career, contributing to some of their most well-known songs and albums. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest drummers in rock history, known for his precise and inventive playing style. His discography with the group includes the hit singles Friend of the Devil, Ripple, Althea, Casey Jones, Sugar Magnolia, and the albums Anthem of the Sun, Steal Your Face, and Dead Set.
