Bill Maher Bio
Born on January 20, 1956, William Maher Jr. came from New York City, New York, USA. He grew up in River Vale, New Jersey, to parents William Aloysius Maher Jr. and Julie Berman. He attended in Cornell University and then learned stand-up comedy. He started his gig on a Chinese restaurant, soon he had a regular gig at Catch a Rising Star in New York City.
He was spotted by a scout from “The Tonight Show Starring John Carson” when he became a regular host on the club. With this, he was able to make guest appearances on films and numerous sitcoms. Maher had his own talk show entitled “Politically Incorrect” which was critically-acclaimed. He was nominated for 11 Emmys for the show.
