William James Murray, better known as Bill Murray is an award-winning American actor, comedian, and writer whose career spans decades and includes dozens of blockbuster films. He was born in Wilmette, Illinois, USA, on September 21, 1950. He has appeared in the hit films The Jungle Book, Get Smart, Charlie’s Angels, Space Jam, Dumb and Dumber To, and Space Jam. His name was cemented in Hollywood when he starred in the Ghostbusters movie series alongside Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Sigourney Weaver, and Rick Moranis. He has won two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or a Movie and Outstanding Writing in a Comedy-Variety or Music Series, a BAFTA Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role, a Golden Globes Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical, and an American Comedy Award for Funniest Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture.
