Bill Simmons Bio
William John Simmons III, better known as Bill Simmons or The Boston Sports Guy, is an American sportscaster, sports analyst, and writer. He was born in Marlborough, Massachusetts, United States, on September 25, 1969. He began his career in the late 1990s when he created the website BostonSportsGuy.com. The column became well known and allowed him to appear on mainstream sports news platforms. He has worked on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, ESPN, Grantland, and HBO. He began the sports and pop culture platform The Ringer in 2016 as a part of the Bill Simmons Media Group. Bill authored the books The Book of Basketball, Now I Can Die in Peace, and Now I Can Die In Peace: How the Sports Guy Found Salvation and More, Thanks to the World Champion Red Sox. Bill has received an Emmy for Outstanding Short-Format Nonfiction Program.
