Bjarke Ingels is an architect born on 2nd October 1974 in Copenhagen, Denmark. He is widely recognized for owning one of the most advanced studios in the world. He was inspired to become an architect by his father, who was an engineer. From 1998 to 2001, he worked with Rem Koolhaas. Ingels is also known for designing two house complexes: Mountain Dwellings and Ørestad: VM Houses. He established Bjarke Ingels Group in 2006.
Apart from being an architect, Ingels also appeared in the documentary film “My Playground” by Kasper Astrup Schroder. Most of the action in the film centers around BIG projects. He was also cast in “Genre de Vie” a documentary film about cities, personal awareness, and bicycles. The film highlights urban life, which has been empowered by the simplicity of using a bicycle.
