Black Eyed Peas Bio

The Black Eyed Peas are an American pop and dance-pop music group made up of rappers will.i.am., apl.de.ap and Taboo, as well as previously Fergie. The group started to see high record sales with the launch of their third album, “Elephunk”. SInce then, they have sold an estimated 75 million records, which means they are of the best selling musical groups of all time. They also are the second artist with the most downloaded songs of all time, behind Rihanna. Their first breakthrough hit was “Where Is the Love?”, a pensive rap that focused on raising awareness of social issues and became a hit in 13 countries. Their fourth album, Monkey Business, was a 4x platinum album, and their major global success, with hit chart-topping singles. Their album The E.N.D. later produced a third Hot 100 number-one placement with “Imma Be”, making the group one of few to ever place three number one singles on the chart from the same album. Their song, “I Gotta Feeling” became the first track ever to sell over a million downloads in the United Kingdom. They have won multiple Grammy Awards.
