Black Midi Bio

Black Midi is known as Englands’ Rolling Stone’s “Hot New Noise-Rock Weirdos”. The group consists of four band members Matt Kwasniewski-Kelvin on vocals and guitar, Geordie Greep on vocals and guitar, Morgan Simpson on drums, and Cameron Picton on synths, bass guitar, and vocals. The group is from London and formed in 2017 while attending an arts and music academy - BRIT School

Prior to releasing any albums or singles, they were seen playing in clubs and festivals. In 2019, they finally released their debut album named Schlagenheim under the Rough Trade Records label. The album features songs like Speedway and 953. It took them months before they were happy with all the song’s sounds before they decided they were ready for release on their first album. Their hard work paid off when they were nominated for a Mercury Prize in 2019.

They released an anthology album in 2020 starting off with The Black Midi Anthology Volume 1: Tales of Suspense and Revenge.
