Blindboy Bio
Blindboy is a musician and podcaster from Ireland. He is one-half of the hip-hop band, “The Rubberbandits,” that was characterized by their plastic bag masks meant to conceal identity. He initially performed and toured with the band. He has produced a couple of solo works, such as podcasts covering topics related to mental health, culture, politics, history, music, and others. He also interviews guests such as Bernadette Devlin McAliskey, Emma Dabiri, Cillian Murphy, Spike Lee, and Colm O’Gorman.
His podcast gets more than 250k weekly listeners in his home country, Ireland, and more than a million across the world every month. Blindboy opened a Twitch account in 2020, where he often plays live music using guitars, drums, and keyboards and plays Red Dead Redemption 11. In January 2021, he announced that he would only be streaming on Thursday evenings to create time for other things in his life.
