Coming from Portland, Oregon, Blitzen Trapper is an alternative rock band which was formed back in 2000. The band was led by Eric Earley, a songwriter. He was joined by other members Erik Menteer on guitar and keyboard, Brian Adrian Koch on drums and vocals, Michael Van Pelt on basss, Marty Marquis on keyboard and vocals, and Drew Laughery for keyboard.
They released three albums before landing a record contract in 2007. One is a result of eponymous effort in 2003. The album “Field Rexx” was released in 2005, while “Wild Mountain Nation” was released in 2007, landing them the record deal with the label Sub Pop. By 2008 they released “Furr” followed by 2010’s “Destroyer of the Void.” Their eight studio album was entitled “All Across This Land.”
