Blood Red Shoes was formed in 2004 by Laura-Mary Carter and Steven Ansell in Brighton, England. The duo plays genres such as garage rock, noise pop, and indie rock. They released their first album “Box of Secrets” in 2007 with V2 Records. The band founded its label “Jazz Life” in 2014 and released the album “Blood Red Shoes”. They took a break of 4 years, then moved to Los Angeles, California, and came back in 2019 with the album “Get Tragic”, recorded with Nick Launay. The duo has shared the stage with alternative rock bands and artists such as Foals, Pulled Apart By Horses, Drenge, DZ Deathrays, The Wytches, The Gaslight Anthem, and Biffy Clyro. The band has performed on national and international tours.
