Body Type Bio
Body Type is an Australian garage rock band formed in 2016 in Sydney after Sophie McComish (guitar, vocals) moved from New York to Australia and came together with Cecil Coleman (drums), Annabel Blackman (guitar, vocals), and Georgia Wilkinson-Derums (bass). That same year the band released the singles “Ludlow” and “264”, and also started sharing the stage with acts like Alex Cameron, Frankie Cosmos, Big Thief, and POND, while also appearing in festivals like Gizzfest, Sydney Festival, and the Electric Lady Festival. The band released an eponymous EP in 2018 with the label Partisan in 2018. A year later, another eponymous EP, alternatively “EP2” was released. In 2019 both EP’s also went out as two sides of the same 12” vinyl, titled “EP1 & EP2”.
