Boi-1da is a songwriter born on 12th October 1986 in Kingston, Jamaica, although he’s currently based in Toronto, Canada. He is known for working with some of the most popular musical artists, including Eminem, Lama Del Ret, Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z, and others. He produced a remix of Kardinal Offishall's song “Set It Off”, which featured Dr. Dre. In 2010, he produced Eminem’s hit song “Not Afraid”.
The following year, he worked on Drake’s album “Take Care”, which was released on 15th November 2011. He went on to produce Tinashe’s single “Party Favors” for her album Nightride. Boi-1da has won several awards for his outstanding work. This includes the Songwriters of the Year Award with Noah Shebib for his work on Drake’s single “Over” and Best Rap Song for his work on Drake’s song “God’s Plan”.
