Hailing from Tokyo, Japan, Boris is a Japanese is a Japanese band that performs experimental rock and heavy metal. The band consists of Takeshi on vocals, rhythm guitar, and bass guitar, Wata on vocals, keyboards, and lead guitar, and Atsuo on drums, vocals, and tambourine.
Boris was formed in 1992, and they released their debut studio project Absolutego in 1996. They began making waves in the Japanese music scene, but they became a famous international act when their album Pink was certified gold in numerous countries. Their discography includes the singles Naki Kyoku, Ibitsu, Akuma No Uta, Introduction, Furi, and the albums Split, Heavy Rockets, and The Thing Which Solomon Overlooked. Boris’ music was featured in the album Rock’n Roll Hit Mix alongside fellow musical artists Eddie Nilsson, Ryno Rockers, Mickie Muster, and Hans Edler.
