Boris Franz Becker is a German retired professional tennis player and a former world number 1. He was born in Leimen, West Germany, on November 22, 1967. Boris had a very successful career winning two Australian Opens, three Wimbledon Championships, and one US Open. At the peak of his playing career in 1991, Boris was ranked as the best tennis player in the world. Throughout his playing career, Boris won the ITF World Champion Award in 1989, the ATP Player of the Year Award in 1989, and ATP Most Improved Player Awards in 1985, and a gold medal at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. After retiring has taken on numerous roles including commentating with BBC and coaching tennis champion Novak Djokovic from 2013 to 2016. Boris holds the records for youngest Wimbledon singles champion and 3 titles in 3 weeks across the continents.
