Boy Harsher Bio
Boy Harsher is a dark electronic duo whose members are Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller. Both coming from a filmography background in Savannah, Georgia, they started with a project named Teen Dreamz in 2013. It included Matthews reading small stories that she wrote, and Muller was producing a musical sound. In early 2014, they changed their name to Boy Harsher and issued their first EP, Lesser Man, that was home-recorded. The final mixing of this EP was done by Peter Mavrogeorgis at Dollhouse Studios.
The duo moved to Northampton, Massachusetts, where they recorded their full-length album, Yr Body Is Nothing, with DKA Records in 2016. Country Girl EP followed in 2017. In 2018, the duo launched their label called Nude Club and reissued their albums. They also released a single Pain II which was remixed by Soft Moon. In 2019, Boy Harsher released their sophomore album titled Careful, inspired by mental illness and personal loss.
