Brad Pitt Bio

William Bradley Pitt was boen on December 18, 1963 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Brad Pitt was raised in the city of Springfield, Missouri, where he attended the University of Missouri and majored in advertising in journalism. His first role was in TV soap operas Another World and Dallas. Meanwhile, he supported himself as a stripper and the mascot for El Pollo Loco, local restaurant.

Pitt’s first major big-screen appearance was in the movie Thelma and Louise in 1991. He had two not so well accepted roles in the movies Johnny Suede and Cool World. A role in the movie A River Runs Through It in 1992 opened the door to more lucrative roles. Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994) and Legends of the Fall (1994) were a big success with the audience as well as Se7en in 1995.  With the role of a Jeffrey Goines in Twelve Monkeys (1995), the critics and experts awarded him with a Globe for Best Performance by an Actor for supporting role. His most recognizable movie still is Fight Club from 1999, Troy (2004) and Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) with Angelina Jolie, who he later ended up marrying. His choice of the movies to appear is very much different especially with a role in the Inglorious Bastards (2009), Tree of Life (2011), and Fury (2014).

The Academy recognized his work, and he won the nomination for the best actor in movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008) and Moneyball (2011). In 2014, Brad Pitt won the Oscar for the best picture as a producer for the movie 12 Years A Slave.
