Brandin Cooks is an American professional football player born in Stockton, California on September 25, 1993. He is currently a wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League. He played high school football at Lincoln High School in Stockton, California for the Trojans. In 2011 he started playing college football at Oregon State University until 2013. While playing for Oregon state he won the Fred Biletnikoff Award and was a consensus All-American. In 2014 he entered the 2014 NFL Draft and was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the first round of the draft, 20th overall. He was signed with the Saints to a four year contract for $8.3 million. He played his first game in the NFL in 2014 against the Atlanta Falcons and caught seven passes for 77 yards and a touchdown. In 2017 he was traded to the New England Patriots and played his first game with the team on September 10, 2017 against the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2018 he played with the Patriots in Super Bowl LII against the Philadelphia Eagles. In 2018 he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams and he signed a five year contract with the Rams for $81 million with $20.5 million guaranteed. In 2019 he played in Super Bowl LIII against his former team the New England Patriots. Throughout his career he has had 360, 5,147 receiving yards, 229 rushing yards, 61 return yards, and 34 touchdowns.
