Brandon Ingram Bio

Brandon Ingram is an American professional basketball player born in Kingston, North Carolina on September 2, 1997. He is currently a small forward for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association. Ingram played basketball in high school at Kingston High School and won state titles each of the four years he played on the team. He was named North Carolina’s Mr. Basketball in 2015. He went on to play college basketball at Duke University for the Duke Blue Devils and was named Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Year. After his first season he left college to declare for 2016 NBA draft. He was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers as the second pick overall in the 2016 NBA Draft. Ingram was the youngest player selected in the 2016 draft at 18 years old. He made his debut in the NBA on October 26, 2016 in the Lakers season opener against the Houston Rockets and scored nine points throughout the game. At the end of his first season he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. In 2016 he was selected to the 2016 U.S. select team that trained with the 2016 U.S. Olympic basketball team.
