Brandon Mychal Smith is an actor, singer, dancer, and rapper born on May 29, 1989, in Los Angeles, California, USA. He began his acting career at 8, securing notable roles in both film and television. He gained recognition for portraying Bug Wendal in the movie Gridiron Gang.
Brandon starred as Li'l Danny Dawkins in the popular Disney Channel series Phil of the Future. He was propelled to stardom by his role as Nico Harris in the Disney Channel series Sonny with a Chance and its spin-off So Random! He received critical acclaim for his role in the James Brown biopic Get on Up.
Brandon starred as Tayshawn in the Emmy Award-nominated television movie The Ron Clark Story, winning a Family Television Award and a Young Artist Award in 2006. He voiced Michelangelo in the Nickelodeon series Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He has starred alongside Haley Joel Osment, Omar Benson Miller, Chadwick Boseman, and Forest Whitaker.
