Calesha “Bre-Z” Murray is an American actress and rapper, born July 22, 1987, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her distinct nickname was given to her by her grandmother. After attending Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, she moved to Atlanta with her mother in 2008 and she started her career as a barber and cutting the hair of the likes of Akon and Ludacris before pursuing her artistic career in Los Angeles. Before moving to LA she started a musical career at the age of 15 she recorded her first song with rapper Freeway from the rap group State Property. She began writing songs with Jennifer Lopez, Dr. Dre, and The Game. She landed her first role in the series “Empire”, where she also appeared many times in the soundtrack and even performed her raps. She was cast in 2018 as Tamia “Coop” Cooper in the drama All American earning her praise from the LGBTQ community for breaking multiple barriers around the community. She has released 2 discs “The Girl” and “Full Circle” and has appeared on television since 2015.
