Brian d’Arcy James is an actor and musician born on 29th June 1968 in Saginaw, Michigan, United States. He is widely recognized for her roles in Broadway, including “Shrek the Musical” as Shrek, “Something Rotten!” as Nick Bottom, “Hamilton” as King George III, and “The Ferryman” as Quinn Carney. He received nomination for Tony Awards three times for his work. In 2004, he released the Christmas album “From Christmas Eve to Christmas Morn.” On 19th July 2010, he performed in the presence of the United States President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
In 2015, he was featured in the Broadway musical “Something Rotten!” for which he was nominated for the third Tony nomination. In 2017, he appeared in the teen drama TV series “13 Reasons Why” as Andy Baker. He reprised his role in the second season of the series in 2018. The following year, he featured in the Broadway play “The Ferryman” as Quinn Carney at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre.
