Brian Setzer Bio

Brian Setzer is a rock star born in Massapequa, New York on April 10, 1959. He used to be Stray Cats‘ leaders. The Stray Cats debuted in 1981 through the album Arista.

In 2003, he released Nitro Burnin’ Funny Daddy. In 2005, Setzer released Rockabilly Riot, Vol. 1 – A Tribute under Sun Records. In 2006, he released 13 and Red Hot & Live in 2007. He followed this album with Setzer Goes Instru-MENTAL! and Rockabilly Riot! All Original in 2014.

During the course of his career, he won three Grammy awards. The Simpsons animated him in 2002 and he also inducted Chet Atkins in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the same year. His 1959 Gretsch 6120 “Stray Cat” guitar sits in Washington’s Smithsonian Museum.
