Bring Me The Horizon Bio

Bring Me The Horizon is an English band known for its transition from grindcore to experimental pop in the mid 2010’s. Formed in 2004 in Sheffield, England, it consisted of vocalist Oliver Sykes, guitarists Lee Malia and Curtis Ward, bassist Matt Kean, and drummer Matt Nicholls. In 2005 the band made an independent debut with the “This Is What the Edge of Your Seat Was Made For” EP, later reissued by the label Visible Noise. After a full-length release in 2006 titled “Count Your Blessings”, the band made it into the U.K. album charts with the follow-up “Suicide Season” and faced the departure of guitarist Ward. With the addition of Jona Weinhofen, the band released a third album in 2010 and toured the U.S. Three years later they issued “Sempiternal”, reaching the #3 in the U.K. chart. This success prompted the 2019 release of the LP “Amo”, which featured the talents of Grimes and Dani Filth, and was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards. In 2020 the band also featured collaborations with Yungblud and Evanescence’s Amy Lee for their “Post Human: Survival Horror” EP.
