Bree Joanna Alice Robinson, better known as Brody Dalle, is a singer, songwriter, and musician born on January 1, 1979, in Melbourne, Australia. Dalle began her music career when she was 13 and began to learn how to play the guitar. During her teens, she formed the band Sourpuss. She later moved to Los Angeles and formed the punk rock band The Distillers. The band released their debut album in 2000. They would release two more albums before the band disbanded in 2006. Following this breakup, Dalle formed another band, Spinnerette, with Alain Johannes. They released their first EP, Ghetto Love, in 2008. Dalle began working on some solo material in 2012. In 2014, she released her solo album, Diploid Love. The album features other musicians like Johannes, Nick Valensi, and Emily Kokal.
