Brooke Henderson is a Canadian professional golf player born September 10, 1997, in Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada. Her interest in golf comes from her uncle who played it every day. She started playing golf at the age of three in the club where her uncle Tom won thirteen championships. Her junior career started at the age of ten when she finished eleventh in Quebec and Eastern Ontario Provincial Junior Championship (2008). Next year she played better and won four junior golf tournaments in Ontario. Henderson turned professional at the age of 17 when she turned down University of Florida and signed with sports agency IMG. She became the third-youngest champion in LPGA history. In 2016, she became the second Canadian woman to win a major title and it was the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at the Sahalee Country Club, Seattle. She was awarded the Bobbie Rosenfeld Awards Canada’s best female athlete three times (2015, 2017, 2018), and also she was awarded ESPY Award for the best female golfer in 2019.
