Brooks Reed was born on February 28, 1987, in Tucson, Arizona. He was the 4nd overall pick for the 2011 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans. After spending four years with the Texans, he was then signed to the Atlanta Falcons in 2015. With the Falcons, he reached Super Bowl LI against the New England Patriots in the 2016 season, ultimately losing in overtime. He was an active football player throughout his high school and college years. He was named to the Pac-10 All-Conference squad in 2010, and elected to become team captain by his college football teammates. In September 2017, he signaled the season opener against the Chicago Bears with two sacks in the Falcon’s 23-17 victory.
