Bucky Lasek Bio
Bucky Lasek is a professional skater born on December 3, 1972, in Baltimore, Maryland. Lasek began skating when he was young after his bike was stolen. Lasek was competing in local competitions when he was spotted by Stacy Peralta, the co-founder of the skateboarding company, Powell Peralta. The company began sponsoring Lasek and soon after he began appearing in skateboarding videos like Public Domain and Ban This. After Powell Peralta, Lasek has also skated for companies like Change, Natural, and New Deal. Lasek debuted in his first X games in 1997, competing in the Vert category. He won his first gold medal in 1999 and has won several more since. Outside of skateboarding, Lasek was also a racer for the Subaru Rally Team.
