Cain Velasquez Bio
Cain Velasquez was born in Salinas, California, United States on July 28, 1982. Velasquez started his career in MMA in 2006. He was ranked as the No. 3 MMA Fighter of the Year for 2012 and No. 5 for 2013. He was also ranked at No. 16 as the Greatest MMA Fighter of All Time, at No. 36 for being the Greatest MMA Grapple of All Time, and No. 40 as the Greatest MMA Striker of All Time. His head coach is Bob Cook and he is affiliated with the American Kickboxing Academy. He lost the heavyweight title to Fabricio Werdum in 2015. Among his wins include the EFC 200 against Travis Browne in 2016, UFC166 against Junior dos Santos in 2013, and UFC 160 against Antonio Silva in 2013.
