Calais Campbell is an American professional football player born in Denver, Colorado on September 1, 1986. He is currently a defensive end for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League. He played high school football at South High School in Denver, Colorado. He went on to play college football at The University of Miami for the Miami Hurricanes from 2005 to 2007. In 2008 he was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round, 50th overall, in the 2008 NFL Draft. He was signed to a four- year contract for $3.4 million with $1.68 million guaranteed. In 2009 he played in Super Bowl XLIII with the Cardinals against the Pittsburgh Steelers. In 2012 he signed a five-year contract with the Cardinals for $55 million with $31 million guaranteed and a signing bonus of $15 million. He became an unrestricted free agent in 2017 and signed a four-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars for $60 million with $30 million guaranteed and a signing bonus of $6 million. Throughout his professional career he has played in 4 pro bowls and has recorded 640 total tackles, 81.5 sacks, 47 pass deflections, 12 forced fumbles, 3 interceptions, and 2 defensive touchdowns.
