CamelPhat Bio
CamelPhat is a British electronic music duo consisting of DJs Mike Di Scala and Dave Whelan. They started making music together around 2004, in Liverpool. Di Scala was previously a member of the group Rezonance Q, besides releasing music under his name and Whelan was known for hosting his own club night “Jubilee” at Society Nightclub. They began releasing remixes under several names, like Men From Mars before releasing their first original single “Shot Away” as Pawn Shop. In 2010, they released their first tracks as CamelPhat through their own label, Vice Records. During the next years, they released a string of hit singles which made it to international charts such as “ The Act”, “Paradigm” featuring A*M*E and “Cola” alongside Elderbrook. That last single was nominated at the Grammy Awards for Best Dance Recording.
