Debra Frances Manheim, popularly known as Camryn Manheim (born March 8, 1961) is an American actress who is best known for her appearances as Ellenor Frutt on ABC's The Practice, Delia Banks on CBS's Ghost Whisperer, Gladys Presley in the 2005 miniseries Elvis, and "Control" on Person of Interest. For her work in The Practice, Manheim earned a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 1999.
She was born into a Jewish household in West Caldwell, New Jersey, to Sylvia, a teacher, and Jerome Manheim, a mathematics professor. Due to her father's new teaching assignments, her family moved multiple times during her early life, and she spent her early years in Michigan and Peoria, Illinois.
Manheim's one-woman show "Wake Up, I'm Fat," which premiered off-Broadway at Classic Stage Company in 1994, was her breakthrough. Since then, she has featured in several other blockbusters.
